As you set your New Year’s resolutions, remember that small, consistent changes can make a big difference in your cat’s life. The Cat Owner’s New Year Pledge!

This year, I pledge to be the best cat parent I can be, ensuring my feline companion’s health, happiness, and well-being. Together, we’ll make 2025 the most pawsitive year yet.

 As a dedicated cat owner, I pledge to:

1. Prioritize My Cat’s Health

   I will schedule regular vet check-ups, stay up-to-date on vaccinations / parasite prevention, and monitor my cat’s health to catch potential issues early.

   
   

2. Provide a Nutritious Diet

   I will ensure my cat eats a high-quality, complete and balanced diet tailored to their unique needs, consulting with a vet or pet nutritionist if necessary.

   
   

3. Enrich Their Indoor Lives

   I will create an engaging indoor environment with toys, scratching posts, window hammocks and vertical spaces to keep my cat mentally and physically stimulated.

   
   

4. Commit to Daily Playtime

   I will set aside time every day to play with my cat, engaging their natural instincts, Praise & Treat and strengthening our bond.

   
   

5. Groom Regularly

   I will keep my cat’s coat clean and healthy through regular grooming, trimming their nails and cleaning their ears and bum regularly.

   
   

6. Provide a Safe Space

   I will ensure my cat has a stress-free environment with cozy hideaways, various resources and a safe retreat when they want to be alone.

   
   

7. Maintain Litter Box Hygiene

   I will keep the litter box clean, washing and changing the litter often, ensuring my cat always has a sanitary space to do their business. I will provide ample litterboxes in a multi cat home.

   
   

8. Spending Quality Time

   I will cherish every moment by spending quality time with my cat, not getting distracted by the TV or my phone, knowing that our time together is precious.

   
   

9. Learn My Cat's Behaviour

   I will educate myself about feline behavior to better understand my cat’s needs and communicate effectively.

   
   

10. Give Back to Cats in Need

    I will support cats in my community by volunteering, fostering, or donating to shelters and rescues.
